If Carlos Chico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes C.A.Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Frederico. 31 minutes into the match, Carlos Chico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Godfredo Montay. C.A.Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Chico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Carlos Chico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godfredo Montay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Carlos Chico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Godfredo Montay was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Carlos Chico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Carnerito's Carlos Chico nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godfredo Montay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timoteo Blanco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C.A.Talleres's Godfredo Montay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Talleres from getting a goal against them. Godfredo Janpier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Mel in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Carnerito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Ostargi to maneuver through the defense. If Timoteo Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Godfredo Montay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Blanco in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Frederico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.Talleres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carnerito the free kick. After 75 played minutes C.A.Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Frederico. Godfredo Montay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Blanco's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto George during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Chico got free with Godfredo Montay in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of C.A.Talleres booed when Carnerito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Ostargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlos Chico came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Carnerito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Chico couldn't finish the play. Godfredo Montay didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Carnerito's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
