Filomeno Austin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Ciro Gudesteo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horacio Mundo's late challenge caught a Sportivo Veletas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horacio Mundo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sportivo Veletas booed when Tabay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Mundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Filomeno Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Artemio Leoncio made a precise shot to the right of Eustacio Aurre. Tabay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vicente Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Nafarroa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Ermegildo Breogan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 40 minutes into the game, Eloy Frichoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Veletas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tabay the free kick. The supporters of Tabay booed when Sportivo Veletas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eloy Frichoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Veletas's zone, Vicente Nafarroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Breogan came out of the goal and Vicente Nafarroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector Furman kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The Tabay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sportivo Veletas were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filomeno Austin to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Tabay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Mundo to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Eustacio Aurre managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Sportivo Veletas's Artemio Leoncio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Tabay's Ciro Gudesteo in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sportivo Veletas's goalie prevented a goal. After 63 played minutes Tabay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Furman. Ciro Gudesteo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermegildo Breogan having to make a save. After 73 minutes of play, Tabay's Ciro Gudesteo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Breogan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ciro Gudesteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Breogan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Austin in the 82nd minute of play forced Tabay's goalkeeper Eustacio Aurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Sportivo Veletas got a corner. Tabay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saverio Lop ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Sportivo Veletas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Claudio Florian hit a great ball. Filomeno Austin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eustacio Aurre having to make a save. Ciro Gudesteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tabay were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
