Spectators: 7259 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) Diego Ascencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Sengrat, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Gilberto Estebano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Aurre having to interfere. The Merayo fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Merayo's Inocencio Eneas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Diego Ascencio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hector Furman. Diego Ascencio made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Vicente Nafarroa sent off a good shot on target. Vicente Nafarroa struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Diego Ascencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Gudesteo in the 24th minute of play forced Merayo's goalkeeper Diego Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Vicente Nafarroa could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Diego Ascencio however easily saved by the left post. Diego Ascencio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hector Furman. After 31 played minutes Merayo got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Iyan. Merayo's Diego Ascencio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Merayo from getting a goal against them. Eustacio Aurre came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Merayo's Gilberto Estebano. But to his dismay, Gilberto Estebano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Tabay getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ciro Gudesteo hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes Tabay got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Gudesteo. After 41 minutes Tabay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niceto Teodor who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Aristides Cesario heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Gilberto Estebano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciro Gudesteo was the one to do the kick off. Ciro Gudesteo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Ascencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ciro Gudesteo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciro Gudesteo in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Ascencio saved Merayo from getting behind. Merayo's Diego Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Nafarroa in the 58th minute of play. Inocencio Eneas kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Vicente Nafarroa sped through Merayo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diego Ascencio. If Ciro Gudesteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Merayo booed when Tabay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Sengrat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocencio Eneas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Aurre having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Ruperto Iyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tabay's Eustacio Aurre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gilberto Estebano came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Merayo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Estebano couldn't finish the play. If Inocencio Eneas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Sengrat kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Inocencio Eneas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Eustacio Aurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merayo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
