In the 26th minute, Norberto Matteo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Palermo Luminus's Ernesto Nerio didn't even have to move. Ernesto Nerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Nabar went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Joaquin Montrelle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Victorino Salomon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sixto Eron was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Yatai AFC's zone, Rene Elivareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Salomon came out of the goal and Rene Elivareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yatai AFC's Victorino Salomon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Montrelle in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Palermo Luminus's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Candido Quilo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 72nd minute Rene Elivareo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Salomon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palermo Luminus's Joaquin Montrelle got a free kick in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Nabar during the 76th minute.
