After 24 minutes of play, Panquehá's Leopoldo Errando made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Socorro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Panquehá's Angelino Beltxe got a free kick in the 29th minute. The long shot by Florentino Richie in the 30th minute really tested Serafin Gaitano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Deportivo Baigorria booed when Panquehá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Pere didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norberto Benino in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serafin Gaitano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Benino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafin Gaitano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Arnaldo Su received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Serafin Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Benino in the 43rd minute of play forced Panquehá's goalkeeper Serafin Gaitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Benino was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Baigorria's Nereo Baudelio got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Baudelio in the 60th minute of play forced Panquehá's goalkeeper Serafin Gaitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Benino scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serafin Gaitano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Serafin Gaitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Benino, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Leopoldo Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Baudelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Gaitano having to interfere. Panquehá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Santiago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Gaitano having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Panquehá's Leopoldo Errando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severino Socorro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Deportivo Baigorria manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Panquehá to win.
