The referee ignored Carteros FC's protests and gave Lucio Cedro a yellow card for diving instead. Carteros FC's Gustavo Valentine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Lorencio in the 4th minute of play. Christian Gasteiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filiberto Toribio in the 8th minute. Santiago Lorencio succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Teodoro Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reading a Book's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Txatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Valentine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silverio Papo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silverio Papo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Carteros FC's Silverio Papo got a free kick in the 21st minute. 26 minutes into the game, Teodoro Txatxu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gustavo Valentine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gustavo Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Lorencio in the 29th minute of play. Guaberto Isidor scored 1-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Gasteiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honorato Fidencio kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Santiago Lorencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Santiago Lorencio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Valentine was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hipolito Bakar made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Carteros FC's Guaberto Isidor got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Marcelo Pitin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Gustavo Valentine made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Reading a Book's Santiago Lorencio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustavo Valentine. Gustavo Valentine yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Santiago Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Valentine having to interfere. Teodoro Txatxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santiago Lorencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gustavo Valentine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Marcelo Pitin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reading a Book's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Pitin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
