Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zacarias Santxol started the match with the kick off. Manuel Salvino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zacarias Santxol showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Tejedor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Orzaize to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Santxol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Manuel Salvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarias Santxol struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Manuel Salvino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lugano City. 17 minutes into the match, Amado Norino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evelio Cordearo. Lugano City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Norino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ildefonso Quinto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel Salvino. Tejedor FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Rene Justin fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lugano City's protests and gave Rene Justin a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Lugano City got a freekick which was hit by Rene Justin. Evelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Ibon in the 31st minute of the match. Manuel Salvino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Santxol in the 32nd minute of play. When Amado Norino came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Tejedor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Norino couldn't finish the play. Manuel Salvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Santxol, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ignacio Ibon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tejedor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Ibon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rene Justin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Salvino having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Norino in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evelio Cordearo saved Lugano City from getting behind. Evelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Norino in the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Lugano City's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Norino came free, but Evelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes, Guillermo Miliano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tejedor FC and the Lugano City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lugano City booed when Tejedor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Miliano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Amado Norino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Zacarias Santxol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Evelio Cordearo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Amado Norino in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Lapurdi in the 84th minute of play forced Tejedor FC's goalkeeper Manuel Salvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celestino Lapurdi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Salvino came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Lugano City's Zacarias Santxol. But to his dismay, Zacarias Santxol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Tejedor FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
