But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernan Videl couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Fernan Videl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Evelio Lauren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcial Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Lauren having to interfere. Fernan Videl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Evelio Lauren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Marcial Txema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huelén FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Txema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Lauren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Berto kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Huelén FC's Marcial Txema got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adolfo Rito to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marcial Txema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernan Videl in the 87th minute of play forced Albigasta's goalkeeper Evelio Lauren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
