Team Gelmetti's Genaro Regis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Team Gelmetti from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Merexildo got free with Genaro Regis in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genaro Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Nuñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Camilo Oton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Genaro Regis. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Nuñez in the 44th minute of play forced Team Gelmetti's goalkeeper Genaro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Team Gelmetti's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Quinteros came free, but Genaro Regis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 69th minute, Jesus Jenaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Quinteros in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genaro Regis saved Team Gelmetti from getting behind. If Evelio Millan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. River F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
