When Gabriel Jerold came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Internacional VC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Jerold couldn't finish the play. Desiderio Horado was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Internacional VC's Gabriel Jerold in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gondra FC's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Jerold made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano George in the 51st minute of play forced Gondra FC's goalkeeper Nicanor Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Jerold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Ignazio having to interfere. After some careless play in the Internacional VC defense, Atilano Mantzio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Óscar Cordoba. The Internacional VC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Óscar Cordoba should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Gondra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Jerold came free, but Nicanor Ignazio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gabriel Jerold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Internacional VC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Jerold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Ignazio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Gabriel Jerold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maximiliano George struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nicanor Ignazio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internacional VC. If Atilano Mantzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximiliano George in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicanor Ignazio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maximiliano George recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximiliano George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Internacional VC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
