If Filomeno Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Amato blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Lope having to make a save. With a little luck, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Rolando Lope got control of the ball when Genaro Gau tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 played minutes Columbus got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Amato. In the 21st minute, Luciano Fidencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Lope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Hotz in the 23rd minute of the match. Celestino Tibalt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rolando Lope was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Filomeno Karlo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filomeno Karlo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Danilo Amato kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, one of Columbus:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Columbus:s Baldomero Benvido showed great skill when he stopped Delmiro Clementi:s penalty. In the 46th minute, Celestino Tibalt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Che was the one to do the kick off. Baldomero Benvido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Galo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Almagro's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Karlo came free, but Rolando Lope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emilio Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Che's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Benvido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Emilio Hotz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Hotz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, Columbus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Hotz to maneuver through the defense. Celestino Tibalt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Filomeno Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Lope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Karlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Baldomero Benvido successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mariano Che fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Benvido having to interfere. Rolando Lope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Amato in the 85th minute of the match. Luciano Fidencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
