After some careless play in the Sportivo Sta Catalina defense, Aaron Balesio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Venceslao. The Sportivo Sta Catalina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Venceslao should have stopped the shot. Francisco Austin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Venceslao having to interfere. A collision led to Loreto getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hipolito Gizon hit a great ball. Elias Urdin hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Placido Iratze during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Sportivo Sta Catalina got a freekick which was hit by Placido Iratze. The supporters of Loreto booed when Sportivo Sta Catalina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Mancio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Cleto Seguinus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loreto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Seguinus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aaron Balesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmar Florinio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Mancio in the 26th minute of play. Ismael Abancens was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, one of Loreto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 35th minute of the match Hipolito Gizon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fulgencio Venceslao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Efrain Boniel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delmar Florinio skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot by Aaron Balesio from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Fulgencio Venceslao's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Hipolito Gizon came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Loreto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Gizon couldn't finish the play. Hipolito Gizon struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Fulgencio Venceslao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loreto. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ariel Quexal was the one to do the kick off. If Cleto Seguinus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
