Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ariel Quexal started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Beltrán FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Martinez. Hugo Gomez hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Sta Catalina's zone, Joel Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Venceslao came out of the goal and Joel Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filomeno Mancio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Mitxel having to interfere. Ariel Quexal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes, Oscar Caitano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Sta Catalina and the Beltrán FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sportivo Sta Catalina getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Oscar Caitano hit a great ball. Alfredo Colon struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Fulgencio Venceslao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beltrán FC. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Sta Catalina's Braulio Jobo got a free kick in the 28th minute. Alfredo Colon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Everardo Quintyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Filomeno Mancio came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Sportivo Sta Catalina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filomeno Mancio couldn't finish the play. Eloy Mitxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Mancio, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Martinez in the 36th minute of play forced Sportivo Sta Catalina's goalkeeper Fulgencio Venceslao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Sportivo Sta Catalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Caitano to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Tomas Martinez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sportivo Sta Catalina's Fulgencio Venceslao didn't even have to move. Fulgencio Venceslao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Alfredo Colon scored 2-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulgencio Venceslao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Joel Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Beltrán FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Martinez couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 61st minute, Ariel Quexal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joel Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Venceslao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Colon in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Sportivo Sta Catalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Iratze to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Alfredo Colon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Venceslao. Sportivo Sta Catalina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Colon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Alfredo Colon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Filomeno Mancio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Colon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Iratze charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Placido Iratze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Beltrán FC booed when Sportivo Sta Catalina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Iratze didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Sta Catalina's zone, Alfredo Colon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Venceslao came out of the goal and Alfredo Colon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulgencio Venceslao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Colon went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Sportivo Sta Catalina's Fulgencio Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Colon in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Sportivo Sta Catalina's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Martinez came free, but Fulgencio Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Filomeno Mancio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Sta Catalina's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Mancio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Mitxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Venceslao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Colon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beltrán FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
