Ampallo FC's Gaspar Estefan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Ampallo FC from getting a goal against them. Edgardo Belasko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Silvestre Afonso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gökmen Akyıldız was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaspar Estefan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Tirso in the 23rd minute of play. Jairo Madaleno came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gaspar Estefan could save by the left post. Jose Chepe hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's Gökmen Akyıldız played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Afonso in the 28th minute of play. The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 31st minute, where CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO:s Stavri Chervenov tricked Ampallo FC:s Gaspar Estefan with a difficult ball by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Madaleno got free with Gaspar Estefan in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgardo Belasko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albino Florinio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gökmen Akyıldız. CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Ampallo FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Salvador Cerilo hit a great ball. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ampallo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stavri Chervenov was slow to take the kick. During this time CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's Prudencio Christobal getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Silvestre Afonso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ampallo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO the free kick. With an all-out effort, CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's Gaspar Estefan threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adan Tirso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adan Tirso made a kick off. Gaspar Estefan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Sanduru in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Zeledon Sanduru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaspar Estefan. Ampallo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeledon Sanduru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 59 played minutes Ampallo FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Afonso. Salvador Cerilo's late challenge caught a CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Cerilo helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Ampallo FC got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Cerilo. Gaspar Estefan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Tirso, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Salvador Cerilo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. Edgardo Belasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökmen Akyıldız having to interfere. Edgardo Belasko in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gökmen Akyıldız, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edgardo Belasko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gökmen Akyıldız read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Silvestre Afonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO EL SUREÑO's Stavri Chervenov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Adan Tirso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Estefan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Cruz in the 93rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adan Tirso in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Estefan saved Ampallo FC from getting behind.
