Cristian Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Estefan having to interfere. Jose Chepe charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Chepe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It was beautiful to see Ismiango's Pedro Fernandes in action when he in the 15th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After some careless play in the Ampallo FC defense, Danilo Weterio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Estefan. The Ampallo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Estefan should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute Narciso Palban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Edgardo Belasko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Barrionuevo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, Zeledon Bazkoare threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ampallo FC's Victorio Asteri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 31 minutes into the match, Danilo Weterio notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ampallo FC's Gaspar Estefan. Gaspar Estefan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Ampallo FC's Edgardo Belasko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Barrionuevo. David Barrionuevo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. A collision led to Ampallo FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Silvestre Afonso hit a great ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danilo Weterio was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ampallo FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Astor Celipe hit a great ball. Zeledon Bazkoare shot from long distance in the 53rd minute, but Gaspar Estefan was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. David Barrionuevo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Ampallo FC's Silvestre Afonso. But to his dismay, Silvestre Afonso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Silvestre Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. David Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Edgardo Belasko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ampallo FC's Silvestre Afonso got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Estefan was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Danilo Weterio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Danilo Weterio really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. In the 68th minute, Silvio Oliverios left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ampallo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. David Barrionuevo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Belasko's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. David Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Afonso in the 75th minute of the match. Ismiango's David Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Belasko in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Ismiango's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Afonso came free, but David Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismiango's David Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Belasko in the 84th minute of play. If Edgardo Belasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute of the match Salvador Cerilo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Barrionuevo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
