After 33 played minutes, Club Atlético Bebeto's Narciso Ekhi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Armando Rosio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Bebeto reached it. When Ismael Daunte came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Mandisoví fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Daunte couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Mandisoví's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
