Cesar Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Abechuco in the 10th minute of the match. If Marcial Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donato Frederico's late challenge caught a Baños AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Frederico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, La Calabria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Frederico to maneuver through the defense. Marcial Mazuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Abechuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cesar Shepherd came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Baños AFC's Marcial Mazuste. But to his dismay, Marcial Mazuste quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Humberto Matia managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Calabria's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Matia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Ourente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th match minute, Baños AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Baldovino to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baños AFC's goalkeeper Niceto Ourente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Cisco was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Arnoldo Cisco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Calabria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnoldo Cisco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnoldo Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Ourente having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciriaco Martxelin during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciriaco Martxelin kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Marcial Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Ourente having to interfere. Baños AFC's Marcial Mazuste got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Matia struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Niceto Ourente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Calabria. Cesar Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Abechuco in the 86th minute of play. Humberto Matia might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niceto Ourente. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Matia ran back to his position shaking his head. If Humberto Matia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute Danilo Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Baños AFC defense, Cecilio Frans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Ourente. The Baños AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Ourente should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. La Calabria had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
