The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hugo Gilen came out of the goal and Angelino Policarpio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Hugo Isadore came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the racing clab fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Isadore couldn't finish the play. When racing clab's Angelino Policarpio, in the 30th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for racing clab. Ciriaco Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Joel Brais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Belarmo struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Joel Brais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ituzaingó AFC. Gilberto Belarmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 40 minutes, Ciriaco Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ituzaingó AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Ciriaco Cortez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gilberto Belarmo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Ituzaingó AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Belarmo couldn't finish the play. Joel Brais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Belarmo in the 46th minute of the match. If Gilberto Belarmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Ciriaco Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Brais having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Ituzaingó AFC got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Rosario. Angelino Policarpio struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Hugo Gilen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for racing clab. After 60 minutes, Mateo Salvino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ituzaingó AFC and the racing clab players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Brais showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Belarmo in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Brais saved racing clab from getting behind. Gilberto Belarmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Joel Brais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilberto Belarmo might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Brais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Belarmo ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Cortez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Brais was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Edelmiro Txurio's late challenge caught a Ituzaingó AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edelmiro Txurio helped the player get up and apologised. Edelmiro Txurio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After some careless play in the racing clab defense, Ciriaco Cortez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Brais. The racing clab fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Brais should have stopped the shot. Reynaldo Marques struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Hugo Gilen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for racing clab. 91 minutes into the game, Rafael Mark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ituzaingó AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave racing clab the free kick. In the 91st match minute, Ituzaingó AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Mark to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, racing clab's Angelino Policarpio got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Angelino Policarpio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hugo Gilen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the racing clab players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ituzaingó AFC.
