The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 5 in the game by Joel Mateo from a close distance when the talented Agustin Flor managed to make a qualified save. C. S. y D. Adrogué's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Christobal in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustin Flor saved C. S. y D. Adrogué from getting behind. Joel Mateo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Agustin Flor made a huge save. Joel Mateo got in the 11th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Agustin Flor handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A collision led to C. S. y D. Adrogué getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lino Neron hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Christobal in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustin Flor saved C. S. y D. Adrogué from getting behind. In the 18th minute Emilio Christobal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Christobal in the 21st minute of play. Albino Teodor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by German Urbasa. Agustin Flor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Christobal, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Joel Mateo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joel Mateo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Mateo couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Baltasar Bembe made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Mateo in the 52nd minute of play forced C. S. y D. Adrogué's goalkeeper Agustin Flor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Mateo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Flor having to interfere. Joel Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Mateo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustin Flor. Agustin Flor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Mateo in the 68th minute of play forced C. S. y D. Adrogué's goalkeeper Agustin Flor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Agustin Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Mateo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Gallardeta's Joel Mateo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When La Gallardeta's Emilio Christobal in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. S. y D. Adrogué's goalie prevented a goal. Joel Mateo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Agustin Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Baltasar Bembe managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. S. y D. Adrogué's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltasar Bembe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Artaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emilio Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Flor having to interfere.
