Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Placido Elazar started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Ildefonso Dimo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregorio Cordeara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Ponce in the 7th minute of play. Osvaldo Natal hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes, C A San Miguel's Diego Gomez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gregorio Cordeara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C A San Miguel reached it. C A San Miguel's Rafael Jaume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Elazar in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Chimpay AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Osoitz came free, but Gregorio Cordeara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C A San Miguel's Victoriano Ponce got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rene Osoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. C A San Miguel's supporters rose to their feet, but Rene Osoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Cordeara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chimpay AFC's Osvaldo Natal got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to C A San Miguel getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ildefonso Dimo hit a great ball. When Chimpay AFC's Santiago Gil in 42 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Rafael Jaume guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Rene Osoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gregorio Cordeara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Cordeara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Osoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. If Rene Osoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rene Osoitz made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Gil in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Jaume prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rene Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Cordeara having to interfere. Rafael Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, C A San Miguel's Aaron Cuartio got a free kick in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Placido Elazar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rafael Jaume was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Gil in the 64th minute of play. If Santiago Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rene Osoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Gregorio Cordeara managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when C A San Miguel's Victoriano Ponce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Domingo Magdaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Victoriano Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C A San Miguel's Rafael Jaume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Elazar in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the C A San Miguel defense, Placido Elazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafael Jaume. The C A San Miguel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Jaume should have stopped the shot. Rafael Jaume showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Santiago Gil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Jaume having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
