Santiago Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chimpay AFC's Gregorio Cordeara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Cesaro in the 18th minute of play. Marcial Celio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Argento Team's goalkeeper Eleuterio Medardo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Gil. In the 23rd minute Marcial Celio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Cesaro took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gregorio Cordeara. Gregorio Cordeara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When Chimpay AFC's Placido Elazar in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Argento Team's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Chimpay AFC booed when Argento Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. The tension between the Chimpay AFC and the Argento Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Marcial Celio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Chimpay AFC's Placido Elazar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eleuterio Medardo. That made the score 2-1 after 48 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Cesaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gregorio Cordeara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Cesaro in the 61st minute of the match. When Francisco Cesaro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Argento Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Cesaro couldn't finish the play. When Osvaldo Natal fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chimpay AFC's protests and gave Osvaldo Natal a yellow card for diving instead. If Francisco Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Cesaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Cordeara having to interfere. Eleuterio Medardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Placido Elazar's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 77th minute, Anacleto Baldovino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Placido Elazar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Argento Team's Eleuterio Medardo. Eleuterio Medardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute, Santiago Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eleuterio Medardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Argento Team's zone, Santiago Gil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Medardo came out of the goal and Santiago Gil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Gil in the 97th minute of play forced Argento Team's goalkeeper Eleuterio Medardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chimpay AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
