In the 20th minute, Jesus Porfirio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Lanus's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Osoitz came free, but Bernardino Reynardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Lanus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Rene Osoitz scored to the left of an out of position Bernardino Reynardo, making the score, 2-0. In the 46th minute, Zacarias Marz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Osoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Mateo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Rafael Jaume made a huge save. When Zacarias Marz fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C A San Miguel's protests and gave Zacarias Marz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C A San Miguel getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Zacarias Marz hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Alonzo Bermudez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C A San Miguel's Rafael Jaume didn't even have to move.
