Moises Honrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fernando Ubendu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Marciano Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marciano Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teo Frederico got free with Rafael Lapurdi in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agustin Lehior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Lapurdi having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marciano Shantala in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Ubendu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moises Honrio's late challenge caught a Paraná FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moises Honrio helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 41 minutes, Agustin Lehior managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraná FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustin Lehior was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teo Frederico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Rafael Lapurdi made a huge save. Paraná FC's Agustin Lehior got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustin Lehior made a kick off. After 53 played minutes La Paternal got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Olo. Dante Montel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Lapurdi. La Paternal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, La Paternal's Robustiano Gilen got a free kick in the 64th minute. Agustin Lehior might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Lapurdi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustin Lehior ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustin Lehior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Lapurdi having to interfere. In the 85th minute of the game, Reynaldo Beturian landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 85 minutes, Modesto Aurken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraná FC and the La Paternal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute Teo Frederico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Lapurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
