After some careless play in the Lazzarino defense, Teo Frederico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Osoro. The Lazzarino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Osoro should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lazzarino's zone, Teo Frederico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Osoro came out of the goal and Teo Frederico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Teo Frederico came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Paraná FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Frederico couldn't finish the play. In the 26th match minute, Lazzarino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Jerrold to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Lehior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Ubendu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lazzarino's Damian Osoro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Lazzarino from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Jerrold to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Paraná FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Aurken to maneuver through the defense. If Abel Jerrold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damian Osoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Lehior in the 63rd minute of play. Abel Jerrold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Ubendu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustin Lehior in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Osoro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Teo Frederico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraná FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teo Frederico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Osoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Paraná FC booed when Lazzarino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraná FC's Emiliano Daunte got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paraná FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lazzarino had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
