Frans Kock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Matai, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Venancio Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Luisito Abar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Placido Cerilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Placido Cerilo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisito Abar's late challenge caught a Palmar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisito Abar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Francis FC's Luisito Abar got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Pedro Ferman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Venancio Oxarra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Frans Kock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Cerilo in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingos Matai to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Palmar's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Matai came free, but Frans Kock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Francis FC's zone, Albano Cesaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Veremundo came out of the goal and Albano Cesaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Veremundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albano Cesaro in the 57th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Venancio Oxarra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfredo Veremundo. Venancio Oxarra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Matai in the 65th minute of play forced Palmar's goalkeeper Frans Kock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Francis FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Eustacio Frederik hit a great ball. If Albano Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Palmar's Venancio Oxarra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Veremundo. Alfredo Veremundo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Domingos Matai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frans Kock having to make a save. Placido Cerilo took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frans Kock. Frans Kock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 87 minutes into the game, Francis FC's Domingos Matai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frans Kock made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Ildefonso Casomiro kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Placido Cerilo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Palmar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palmar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
