In the 22nd minute, Teo Frederico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, La Paternal's Reynaldo Beturian got a free kick in the 25th minute. Agustin Lehior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rafael Lapurdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustin Lehior in the 33rd minute of play forced La Paternal's goalkeeper Rafael Lapurdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Teo Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of La Paternal booed when Paraná FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Iraitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, La Paternal's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Frederico came free, but Rafael Lapurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Frederico in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Agustin Lehior made the kick off in the second half. Agustin Lehior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Robustiano Gilen struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Fernando Ubendu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Paternal. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Agustin Lehior took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Rafael Lapurdi to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, La Paternal's Rafael Lapurdi got control of the ball when Teo Frederico tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustin Lehior kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafael Lapurdi. That made the score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. In the 76th minute, Teo Frederico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Lapurdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 89th minute, Teo Frederico fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Paraná FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
