Leonides Hitz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. Epifanio Peter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Carlomagno, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Cristian Carlomagno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Peter having to interfere. Octavio Guilabertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Segio in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in La Mentira's zone, Arturo Diaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Guilabertus came out of the goal and Arturo Diaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roque Segio in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Guilabertus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, La Mentira's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Segio came free, but Octavio Guilabertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leo Eguzki came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Club Atletico Alvarado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Eguzki couldn't finish the play. Octavio Guilabertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Eguzki in the 43rd minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roque Segio to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes La Mentira got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Rik. Pastor Berto missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 59 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Octavio Guilabertus right hand side. Roque Segio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Guilabertus having to interfere. Jonas Acosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Guilabertus having to interfere. Leonides Hitz charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonides Hitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 66 played minutes La Mentira got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Hitz. La Mentira's Octavio Guilabertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Segio in the 77th minute of play. In the 86th minute Roque Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Guilabertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Acosta in the 92nd minute of play. If Roque Segio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Roque Segio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Alvarado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Segio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, La Mentira could leave the field as winners, despite Club Atletico Alvarado having more of the ball for most of the match.
