In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Guañacos AFC's goalkeeper Nicanor Ostadar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Nestor Etxeberri came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Central Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Etxeberri couldn't finish the play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Herensuge in the 54th minute of play forced Central Norte's goalkeeper Fernando Medardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Inocencio Semeno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Medardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Israel Herensuge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fernando Medardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Bingen got free with Nicanor Ostadar in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicanor Ostadar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Etxeberri in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Nestor Etxeberri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Central Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Etxeberri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicanor Ostadar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruperto Bingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nicanor Ostadar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guañacos AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lorenzo Ayala was slow to take the kick. During this time Central Norte's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Central Norte's Nestor Etxeberri got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Nestor Etxeberri fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Central Norte's protests and gave Nestor Etxeberri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guañacos AFC booed when Central Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Etxeberri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Feo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Medardo. Central Norte's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ruperto Bingen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Central Norte's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 91 minutes into the match, Geronimo Eleazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Medardo. Central Norte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geronimo Eleazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Guañacos AFC had won after a very even match.
