When Mauricio Gustau fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crespo's protests and gave Mauricio Gustau a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes Crespo got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Gustau. Robustiano Gil might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrique Atarrabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robustiano Gil ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 31st minute, Vladimiro Jenaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Aztore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Ongile having to interfere. During the 40th minute of the match Mauricio Gustau completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mauricio Gustau a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Chalicán FC made a substitution. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
