Celedonio Weather tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Weather breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celedonio Weather made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honorato Blasco in the 23rd minute. Dionisio Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Fenix Dark's Constantino Rayman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RIVER PLATE. Fenix Dark's Celedonio Weather proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Fenix Dark from getting a goal against them. When RIVER PLATE's Gaudencio Toribio in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fenix Dark's goalie prevented a goal. Alvaro Abancens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Etxahun in the 37th minute of play. Alvaro Abancens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaudencio Toribio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Fenix Dark got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Brais. After having played for 54 minutes, Gaudencio Toribio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Toribio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celedonio Weather took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Toribio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Uriel Prejun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaudencio Toribio in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celedonio Weather prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, one of Fenix Dark:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fenix Dark. Celedonio Weather didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Uriel Prejun went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Reynaldo Gorka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
