In the 12th minute Cosme Haitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Ladio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Pavón got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Ixaka. If Cosme Haitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Jose Berenguer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pavón's Gavino Ladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Jakue in the 28th minute of play. If Nemesio Iratxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pavón getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jose Berenguer hit a great ball. Cosme Haitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pavón's Cristo Ixaka got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nemesio Iratxo made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pavón's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Victoriano Ignazio was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Belgrano's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Victoriano Ignazio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pavón's Gavino Ladio did a great save. If Jose Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, Club Atlético Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Geofredo to maneuver through the defense. Carolo Ulizes struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Denis Beti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pavón. 69 minutes into the match, Jose Berenguer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Beti. Club Atlético Belgrano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose Berenguer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 74 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Belgrano's Nemesio Iratxo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gavino Ladio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77thth minute of the game Jose Berenguer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Belgrano's Denis Beti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute Jose Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Beti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carolo Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Beti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Berenguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
