Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5451, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antonio Benet started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Leopoldo Etxahun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmar's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Etxahun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Giro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Casimiro Ovando took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Monico. Emiliano Monico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Ovando during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palmar booed when Samuhú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anselmo Giro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Frasco in the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Palmar's Natalio Velasco got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Rafael Ibon notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Palmar's Emiliano Monico. Emiliano Monico was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antonio Benet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Donzel in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Giro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leopoldo Etxahun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the match, Palmar's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Benet came free, but Emiliano Monico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Eugenio Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Donzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Leguizamón got free with Anselmo Giro in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anselmo Giro stood somewhat misplaced when Eugenio Donzel came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 39 minute. Emiliano Monico didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antonio Benet went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Samuhú were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Donzel made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Donzel in the 53rd minute of play forced Samuhú's goalkeeper Anselmo Giro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Monico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 55 played minutes Palmar got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Etxahun. In the 57th minute of the match Silverio Rutenio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Monico skillfully saved the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Eugenio Donzel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Anselmo Giro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Rafael Ibon took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Emiliano Monico to make any attempt to save it. After 68 played minutes Antonio Benet rounded Palmar's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-6. In the 74th match minute, Palmar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Lain to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Monico didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 2-7. Eulalio Castel charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Castel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, one of Samuhú:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Samuhú. The referee gave Palmar a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eugenio Donzel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Samuhú's Anselmo Giro. 3-7. After some careless play in the Samuhú defense, Eugenio Donzel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmo Giro. The Samuhú fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anselmo Giro should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Palmar lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
