Santos Cugat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Cugat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Arnulfo Acuña made a huge save. Daniel Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Bizi in the 19th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Filiberto Urtungo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quemquemtreu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joe FC the free kick. After 19 played minutes Quemquemtreu got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Urtungo. Daniel Lartaun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Bizi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bernardino Demesio fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quemquemtreu's protests and gave Bernardino Demesio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, one of Quemquemtreu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quemquemtreu. Quemquemtreu's Daniel Lartaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Hartz in the 32nd minute of play. Santos Cugat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Acuña having to interfere. Jonatan Hartz might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Lartaun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonatan Hartz ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Joe FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Bizi was the one to do the kick off. Jonatan Hartz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Ibañez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnulfo Acuña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Cugat, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59th match minute, Joe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Frederico to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Lartaun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Bizi in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Quemquemtreu got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Erruki. Jonatan Hartz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Daniel Lartaun made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Leonel Ibañez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Joe FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Aurelio Inge hit a great ball. Santos Cugat struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Arnulfo Acuña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quemquemtreu. 77 minutes into the match, Joe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Cugat came free, but Arnulfo Acuña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Joe FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Urbano Loren hit a great ball. When Zacarias Bizi came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Joe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Bizi couldn't finish the play. Filiberto Urtungo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Joe FC's Jonatan Hartz got a free kick in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Santos Cugat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnulfo Acuña was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 97th minute, Leonel Ibañez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Joe FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
