Fabio Frisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Ivan Demario made a huge save. Ivan Demario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Ekhi in the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Cayetano Eneto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Demario made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Osvaldo Ekhi sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Calera AFC's goalkeeper Ivan Demario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Frisco. Cayetano Eneto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Osvaldo Ekhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Calera AFC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Fonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. River Plate's Fabio Frisco got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the River Plate defense, Emiliano Ibañez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Eneto. The River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Eneto should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute of the match, Fabio Frisco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivan Demario was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emiliano Ibañez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cayetano Eneto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Evaristo Henrico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calera AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Henrico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Eneto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osvaldo Ekhi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Demario. Calera AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Calera AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Damaso Azevedo hit a great ball. Osvaldo Ekhi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Ivan Demario when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Frisco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Antonio Opilano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Frisco in the 63rd minute of play forced Calera AFC's goalkeeper Ivan Demario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Frisco hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Ekhi took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Demario. Ivan Demario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Fabio Frisco sped through Calera AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Demario. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Urko got free with Cayetano Eneto in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calera AFC's Efrain Esiquio got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Efrain Esiquio off the ground. After 79 played minutes Calera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Esiquio. Fabio Frisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Fabio Frisco in the 83rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Calera AFC's Ivan Demario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Fonso in the 86th minute of play. Jose Fonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Demario having to interfere. Ivan Demario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Ekhi in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Calera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Garcia. After recieving a nice pass, River Plate's Osvaldo Ekhi tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 93 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Cisco. Cayetano Eneto made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Emiliano Ibañez sent off a good shot on target. River Plate's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
