Julian Gartzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Fabio Frisco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Plate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 19th match minute, Robles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Raphael to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristobal Raymundo during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvaldo Ekhi placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Osvaldo Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Robles FC's goalkeeper Julian Gartzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Frisco. Fabio Frisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Gartzi having to interfere. Cayetano Eneto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Romildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Fabio Frisco came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Frisco couldn't finish the play. Robles FC's Julian Gartzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Robles FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Robles FC's Julian Gartzi got control of the ball when Fabio Frisco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Fonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Gartzi having to interfere. Robles FC's Julian Gartzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Robles FC from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Ekhi to make the kick off. Osvaldo Ekhi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Ekhi might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julian Gartzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Ekhi ran back to his position shaking his head. River Plate's Jose Fonso got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Robles FC's zone, Serafin Cisco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Gartzi came out of the goal and Serafin Cisco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Romildo in the 67th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Cayetano Eneto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Jairo Lizar got a free kick in the 69th minute. Osvaldo Ekhi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Gartzi having to make a save. River Plate's Serafin Cisco got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Osvaldo Ekhi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Osvaldo Ekhi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Gartzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. River Plate had played much better football throughout.
