Omar Karlo was a little too slow when Osvaldo Ekhi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fabio Frisco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Omar Karlo made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pastor Eliu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cayetano Eneto saved River Plate from getting behind. Dalmacio Mattin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Frisco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the River Plate players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
