After a defensive mix-up in La pelota no se mancha FC's zone, Teodosio Pasqual stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lázaro Porfiro came out of the goal and Teodosio Pasqual tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Mauro Hermelando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pablo Nerio. Mixto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Hermelando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Simon Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Nerio having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, La pelota no se mancha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Pasqual came free, but Lázaro Porfiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Mixto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La pelota no se mancha FC were winning 0-1.

After having played for 81 minutes, Simon Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La pelota no se mancha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pablo Nerio guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Simon Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the La pelota no se mancha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Pedroso couldn't finish the play. The Mixto fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La pelota no se mancha FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
