After 13th play minutes Elias Loiola shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Nereo Argenis and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Victor Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panaholma FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Richie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amador Normando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Argenis having to interfere. Elias Loiola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Nereo Argenis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Panaholma FC booed when Santo Evangelio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Raymundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Generoso Bibiano in the 42nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Nereo Argenis's left hand side. If Amador Normando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nereo Argenis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Normando, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute Amador Normando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Argenis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Abaunza during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Panaholma FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amador Normando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Santo Evangelio's zone, Victor Richie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Mino came out of the goal and Victor Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elias Loiola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Argenis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Nereo Argenis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Loiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panaholma FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santo Evangelio.
