When Gaston Telo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Santo Evangelio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Telo couldn't finish the play. If Amador Normando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Loiola got free with Fernan Uxio in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Normando in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernan Uxio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Elias Loiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Evangelio's Amador Normando got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Santo Evangelio fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Santo Evangelio's Elias Loiola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After a rather tough play, Juventud Unida Cordobesa's Clemente Mano got a free kick in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Amador Normando notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Juventud Unida Cordobesa's Fernan Uxio. Fernan Uxio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Santo Evangelio were the better team. Santo Evangelio's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
