The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Evaristo Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Berdaitz in the 4th minute of play. Evaristo Medero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Richie's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Panaholma FC's Rafael Berdaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Txomin succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Paolo Chinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Paolo Chinto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nereo Argenis. Paolo Chinto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Panaholma FC's goalkeeper Nereo Argenis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Chinto. Jonas Txomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nereo Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rafael Berdaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. In the 45thth minute of the game Jonas Txomin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panaholma FC's Nereo Argenis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Abaunza during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Panaholma FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Diego Abaunza hit a great ball. If Paolo Chinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Txomin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Victor Richie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panaholma FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Richie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Medero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evaristo Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Richie in the 65th minute of the match. Paolo Chinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gilberto Liher fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panaholma FC's protests and gave Gilberto Liher a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Panaholma FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lincoln:s goal. Rafael Berdaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Evaristo Medero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lincoln fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panaholma FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
