After a defensive mix-up in Rescate's zone, Abel Gurutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Cugat came out of the goal and Abel Gurutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Teo Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miranda's supporters rose to their feet, but Teo Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Cugat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miranda's Abel Gurutz got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Rescate defense, Abel Gurutz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Cugat. The Rescate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Cugat should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Miranda booed when Rescate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Berbiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Agustin Christobal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natalio Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Miranda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Christobal to maneuver through the defense.
