Spectators: 6662 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 0) MarB FC's Zeledon Lando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Miranda's goalkeeper Placido Quintyn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltasar Peter. Miranda's Placido Quintyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Lando in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute Abel Gurutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miranda's Teo Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Abel Gurutz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Victoriano Marques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Azubeli during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Honorato Azubeli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Teo Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Gurutz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, MarB FC's Baltasar Peter got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Abel Gurutz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miranda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Gurutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teobaldo Jaen kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Zeledon Lando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miranda's Placido Quintyn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Miranda's zone, Baltasar Peter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Quintyn came out of the goal and Baltasar Peter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Bento hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Victoriano Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Miranda getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Agustin Christobal hit a great ball. Placido Quintyn was a little too slow when Zeledon Lando got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-1. Victorino Feliu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Miranda's Teo Perez managed to work through MarB FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Teo Perez dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Gurutz was the one to do the kick off. Abel Gurutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victorino Feliu during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MarB FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Victorino Feliu hit a great ball. Teo Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victoriano Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Abel Gurutz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victoriano Marques. Abel Gurutz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Abel Gurutz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victoriano Marques. That made the score 1-3 in the 66 minute of play. Teo Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Teo Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miranda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Teo Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miranda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MarB FC the free kick. Teo Perez hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Abel Gurutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Miranda's Teobaldo Jaen got a free kick in the 76th minute. MarB FC's Baltasar Peter got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abel Gurutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Marques having to interfere. Agustin Christobal struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Victoriano Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miranda. When the match was over Miranda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MarB FC throughout the match.
