Spectators: 7052 (Terracing: 5398, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Diego Barbosa took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Hermon during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, one of Numancia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Numancia. In the 10th minute, Ladislao Guzman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Cugat was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zeledon Loiola kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Numancia's goalkeeper Leandro Sein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Elia. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Diego Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rescate's supporters rose to their feet, but Diego Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Sein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Rescate's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Guzman came free, but Daniel Cugat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teobaldo Salamon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Cugat having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Rescate's Leandro Sein threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Diego Barbosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Guzman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Teobaldo Salamon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58thth minute of the game Ladislao Guzman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rescate's Daniel Cugat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leandro Sein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Elia in the 59th minute of play. Rescate's Daniel Cugat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Guzman in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes in the game, Ladislao Guzman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Daniel Cugat having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ladislao Guzman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Cugat. That made the score 1-2 in the 63 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Numancia's Teobaldo Salamon got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Angelino Berbiz kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Leandro Sein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Elia in the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Macario in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Cugat saved Rescate from getting behind. Daniel Cugat was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Ladislao Guzman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ladislao Guzman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Numancia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
