Ernesto Eliazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Mero, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 18th match minute, Barracas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Hanot to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Barracas FC's zone, Efrain Mero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Eliazar came out of the goal and Efrain Mero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leandro Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Iturri having to interfere. Baltasar Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Iturri having to interfere. Epifanio Iturri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Berto in the 34th minute of the match. Leandro Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Iturri having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Patricio Tono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Eliazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Mero, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Efrain Mero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ernesto Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Barracas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hidalgo FC were winning 0-1.

When Rodolfo Cilio fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barracas FC's protests and gave Rodolfo Cilio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Barracas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Cilio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Mero in the 68th minute of play forced Barracas FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Eliazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Eliazar came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Hidalgo FC's Orlando Kiliz. But to his dismay, Orlando Kiliz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltasar Berto in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Epifanio Iturri saved Hidalgo FC from getting behind. A hard shot 78 in the game by Orlando Kiliz from a close distance when the talented Ernesto Eliazar managed to make a qualified save. Barracas FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Hidalgo FC booed when Barracas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Ponc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Kiliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ernesto Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Barracas FC's Ernesto Eliazar got control of the ball when Orlando Kiliz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Kiliz got free with Ernesto Eliazar in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Efrain Mero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Eliazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Efrain Mero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ernesto Eliazar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
