When Cristóbal López came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Los pibes de Boca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóbal López couldn't finish the play. Ceferino Urtzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceferino Urtzi struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Leon Venerando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los pibes de Boca. Leon Venerando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Frutos in the 15th minute of the match. After 16 minutes Club Atlético Lion King's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leandro Dabi who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Los pibes de Boca's Leandro Dabi to fire away a dangerous shot which Leon Venerando despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Feliciano Roano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciriaco Bartuelo came out and tried to block the shot, but Feliciano Roano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Feliciano Roano's late challenge caught a Los pibes de Boca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Feliciano Roano helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Club Atlético Lion King got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Roano. Maximo Semeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Leon Venerando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximo Semeno in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Venerando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Feliciano Roano to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Alvaro Gar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Bartuelo. Los pibes de Boca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvaro Gar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Lion King's zone, Maximo Semeno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Venerando came out of the goal and Maximo Semeno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Venerando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leandro Dabi went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 67 played minutes Los pibes de Boca got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Urtzi. Ciriaco Bartuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Gaizkine, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Alvaro Gar hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Roano in the 74th minute of play forced Los pibes de Boca's goalkeeper Ciriaco Bartuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Club Atlético Lion King getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Danilo Domenec hit a great ball. If Leandro Dabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Los pibes de Boca's Leandro Dabi in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvaro Gar in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Bartuelo saved Los pibes de Boca from getting behind. Club Atlético Lion King succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Los pibes de Boca had controlled the match.
