Mario Manny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Tximitx's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. When Patricio Luar came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Luar couldn't finish the play. Erasmo Nardo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the game, Urbano Tximitx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mario Manny was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 28 played minutes Garza IB got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Artal. The Talleres fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Talleres's Patricio Luar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Urbano Tximitx put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Mario Manny. Miguel Frederik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Roque Avellaneda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urbano Tximitx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mario Manny didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Oskarbi went, in the 49th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The Garza IB players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Talleres were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urbano Tximitx was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Tximitx in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Manny saved Garza IB from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Frederik in the 66th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Roque Avellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Eriberto Macias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Avellaneda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Balasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Miguel Frederik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Tximitx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Miguel Frederik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Avellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Garza IB's goalkeeper Mario Manny, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Urbano Tximitx made a precise shot to the right of Mario Manny. Garza IB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Mario Manny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Luar, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
