Rivera F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genaro Donostia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Jokin in the 18th minute of the match. Wolverine Inmortal's attentive Baltasar Frasco managed to snatch the ball when Raimundo Aimar made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. Teobaldo Quinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Bemabe having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Abreu in the 31st minute of play forced Wolverine Inmortal's goalkeeper Genaro Donostia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Wolverine Inmortal's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Abreu came free, but Genaro Donostia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling German Jokin in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genaro Donostia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Guaberto Jerold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Bembe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Genaro Donostia. Wolverine Inmortal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Elvio Abreu struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Genaro Donostia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivera F.C.. Genaro Donostia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Jokin in the 54th minute of play. Genaro Donostia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Abreu in the 55th minute. Wolverine Inmortal's Genaro Donostia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Wolverine Inmortal from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Rivera F.C.'s Sergio Giro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If German Jokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvio Abreu scored 0-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genaro Donostia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Genaro Donostia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Jokin in the 89th minute of the match. Elvio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Genaro Donostia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, German Jokin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rivera F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
