In the 18th minute of the match, German Jokin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ceferino Izotz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rivera F.C.'s Elvio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Tuste, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 36 minutes of play, Rivera F.C.'s Horacio Edorta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Bazkoare made a kick off. Rivera F.C.'s Honorato Bemabe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Rivera F.C. from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the game, Sergio Giro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
