In the 33rd minute German Jokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Naldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliberto Iliana in the 39th minute of play forced Rivera F.C.'s goalkeeper Honorato Bemabe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Jokin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Naldo having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. German Jokin was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Feliberto Iliana could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Honorato Bemabe however easily saved by the left post. After 54 played minutes Rahuecó got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Felipo. After 60 minutes of play, Rivera F.C.'s Horacio Edorta made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonardo Naldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Elvio Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 64 minutes, German Jokin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivera F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but German Jokin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. German Jokin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Jokin in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Naldo saved Rahuecó from getting behind. Leonardo Naldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elvio Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvio Abreu scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonardo Naldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raimundo Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Naldo having to interfere. Benito Medardo charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Medardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. German Jokin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Naldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Leonardo Naldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Abreu in the 97th minute of the match. Rivera F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
