Eleuterio Marin was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Emilio Larra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Emilio Larra really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After the first half Sijes were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roman Leizarraga to strike the kick off in the second half. Piñeyro's Maximo Abadie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Leizarraga in the 51st minute of play. Emilio Larra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emilio Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Prudencio Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piñeyro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prudencio Roland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Anacleto Maldonado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sijes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 87th minute, Celso Napier made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Abadie. Piñeyro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 91st minute of the match Cornelio Checa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eleuterio Marin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Prudencio Roland scored 2-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eleuterio Marin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 96 played minutes Piñeyro got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Cresenciano. The Sijes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
